MOSAIC has in the past been funded largely by the Big Lottery Fund and the local authority. We have also received funding from the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), the Active Community Unit of the Home office, the Arts Council and the Children's Fund.
In addition, we have had some support from trusts. We have managed to raise 13% of our income ourselves largely through selling space in our newsletter as well as individual donations. We have an excellent track record and reputation amongst our funders, but like many small charities we have found new funding sources difficult to come by.
While funding is more and more difficult to find, demand for our service has increased substantially over the years. With our current resources we are only able to meet around 50% of these demands which leaves many families with unhappy and/or troubled children without the community support they need.
MOSAIC has a strategy to expand our funding base and security. It includes spreading our net wider to secure support from a diverse range of sources.
We continue to rely on the generosity of individuals to make up most of the shortfall on our budget. We are extremely grateful for all support, however big or small. You can choose to support our work in a number of ways:
- By Direct Debit
- By Cheque
- By Legacy
