March marks the end of MOSAIC’s Health and Wellbeing Project. We have run a series of family cooking workshops, funded by the PCT (Primary Care Trust) focusing on healthy home cooking from world cuisines. Parents and children aged 7-14 have come together to learn new techniques and wholesome recipes. MOSAIC volunteers provided their cooking expertise to bring authentic recipes to workshops facilitated by Monique Forbes Brooms. Food was shared by members at Bring-a-Dish and the recipes were printed in the newsletters so members could try them out at home.

2010 sees MOSAIC celebrate its 20th year. Join us for MOSAICFEST as we celebrate the community we have created on 15th August during our annual open picnic. (Location to be confirmed.) We will invite artists and performers who have worked with us since our inception to bring you an afternoon of multicultural activities for all the family. E.g. drumming, dancing, singing, poetry and crafts. MOSAIC has also started a photo and multimedia project. Volunteers are embarking on a journey with Brighton & Hove Black History project through 20 years of photos, footage, stories and memories, which will culminate in exhibitions and displays.
