MOSAIC Equality Knowledge Portal

A "one stop window" where relevant sources of information about Equality are made accessible to the wider community and practitioners. It aims to empower individuals to implement organizational equality schemes better equipped with up-to-date legislation and best practice Equality tool kits.

What is the MOSAIC EKP Knowledge portal?

The Equality Knowledge Portal is split in several areas:

1. General area giving an overview of the legislation related to Equality: race, gender, disability, age, faith and sign-posting for victims of discrimination.
2. Area for MOSAIC Members only giving information about: services, events, MOSAIC publications and links to other BME VCO's.
3. Area for Voluntary sector Practitioners providing good practises cases and training material to bring change in their working practices whilst respecting the Equality Agenda.

Public information about Equality

The organizations listed here are working in the quality field doing one of the following:

1. Campaigning for Equality locally or nationally for one of the following areas: Race, Disability, Gender, Ageism, Sexual orientation, Faith, HIV/ AIDS, Gender reassignment.
2. Provide Equality of opportunity to their service users
3. Support individual victims of discrimination according to the areas defined above.
